In Las Vegas Casino, I turn my gaze toward the mesmerizing, hyper-detailed world of the gaming floor, capturing a woman completely lost in the hypnotic pull of a slot machine.
For me, this scene is about the fascinating dynamic of human versus machine. The mechanical consoles act as symbols of a modern wonderland. They broadcast a dazzling promise of luck and the hope to get rich quick—an illusion that ultimately highlights the deeply superficial and hollow nature of much of our entertainment. It invites the viewer to look closer at the everyday distractions we decide take part in.
All the best, Gerard
