'Met Het Hoofd In De Wolken' (With Head in the Clouds) depicts a woman entirely absorbed in a painting by the Belgian modernist Raoul de Keyser.
De Keyser’s work is celebrated for its poetic, understated abstraction—made up of simple shapes, tempered colors, and an intentional blurring of the line between a literal sky and pure geometric abstraction. The woman seems to love it, hence the title 'Met Het Hoofd In De Wolken'.
Galerie Nathan Vilar in Deinze, Belgium (De Keyser’s historic hometown) currently has original works by Raoul de Keyser available for acquisition, as well as a selection of my own original paintings.
