This 20 x 20 cm piece shows a man enjoying a self portrait by Frank Auerbach. By placing an observer in front of this intense, heavily textured image, my painting introduces a space of quiet stillness amidst Auerbach's frantic energy. The focused presence of the viewer suggests that we can always find a moment of inner clarity and enduring peace within the chaos.
